Senior Social Worker - CP/CIN Team - Suffolk (Stowmarket)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Stowmarket, Suffolk. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead casework, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality support and intervention services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks of children and families.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing guidance and supervision to junior social workers and support staff.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
- Engaging with families and community resources to promote positive outcomes.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in child protection or child in need settings.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
