We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Court Team/Children in Care in Northamptonshire. As a Qualified Social Worker in our Court Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to determine needs and risks.
  • Preparing and presenting court reports, including care plans and recommendations.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including legal professionals, to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.
  • Managing a caseload of children in care and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant experience in child protection, court work, and children in care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
