Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Northamptonshire
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Northamptonshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Undertaking assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare
- Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to provide holistic support
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting
- Strong knowledge of child protection procedures, legislation, and best practices
- Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
Additional requirements for this position may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the region.
