We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Trafford - Cared for Children team. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking assessments and creating care plans for children in care
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to support the best interests of the child
  • Attending court hearings and meetings to represent the child's needs and rights
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children and young people in care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interventions and outcomes

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in care and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children
