Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs of UASC and developing individualized care plans
- Providing direct support and intervention to UASC to promote their well-being and safety
- Liaising with external agencies, such as schools, healthcare providers, and legal services, to coordinate comprehensive support for UASC
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of UASC in various settings
- Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences to ensure holistic care for UASC
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience working with UASC or vulnerable children and young people
- Strong knowledge of legislation and policies related to safeguarding and supporting UASC
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with UASC, colleagues, and external stakeholders
