We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Trafford. In this role, you will be responsible for completing Age Assessments for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), ensuring their well-being and protection.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting thorough assessments to determine the age of UASC in line with statutory requirements
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to gather relevant information and evidence
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual UASC
- Providing support and guidance to UASC throughout the assessment process
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures and regulations
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England
- Experience in completing Age Assessments for UASC
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to asylum-seeking children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
