We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Worcestershire Duty and Assessment Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting timely and thorough assessments of children and families in need of support and protection.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking initial assessments and investigations to determine the level of need and risk to children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes and prevent further harm.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to review and monitor progress.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions within a statutory social work setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to assess complex situations and make informed judgments.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
