We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Children's Social Worker to join our Early Help Team in Southend on Sea. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families in need within the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families requiring support
- Providing direct intervention and support to children and families in crisis
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for further interventions
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work degree and HCPC registration
- Experience working within a children's social work setting, preferably within early help services
- Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
