Children's SW - Early help Team - Southend-on-Sea

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Early Help Team in Southend-on-Sea. In this role, you will be responsible for providing vital support and intervention to children and families in need, with a focus on early intervention and prevention.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families and developing tailored support plans
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions
  • Providing direct support to children and families in crisis situations
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and young people
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In addition to the above, candidates with experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work will be highly desirable. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
