Children's SW - Assessment Team - Wokingham

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Wokingham. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing support to children and families in need within the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to promote their well-being and safety.
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings as required.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in children's services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage a complex caseload.
