We are currently seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our Children Assessment Team in Lambeth. This is a hybrid role with a pay rate of £39.04 per hour, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertaking complex assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
- Providing supervision and support to junior staff members and contributing to their professional development.
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to safeguard children and promote their well-being.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
- Significant experience working in a similar role within a children's services setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child protection procedures, risk assessment frameworks, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
