Children's AP - Locality Team - Yorkshire
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Advanced Practitioner to join our Locality Team in Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need within the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Undertaking assessments of children and families to identify their needs and develop appropriate support plans.
- Providing direct intervention and support to children and families to safeguard their well-being and promote positive outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, partner agencies, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children and families.
- Offering consultation, guidance, and training to colleagues and external partners on complex cases and best practice in child protection.
The essential qualifications and skills for this role include:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration.
- Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and intervention within a social work setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high standard of professional practice.
Additional requirements for this position may include a valid driver's license, as travel within the locality may be necessary.
