We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) to join our team in Walsall on a part-time basis. As a LADO, you will be responsible for managing allegations against individuals who work with children, ensuring that all cases are handled sensitively and in accordance with statutory guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and managing allegations against staff or volunteers working with children.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.
  • Providing advice and guidance to local agencies regarding safeguarding practices.
  • Collaborating with social services, police, and other stakeholders to ensure effective resolution of cases.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to allegations and investigations.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong investigative skills and knowledge of relevant legislation.
