We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection and Safeguarding team in Wellingborough, Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a QSW, you will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in your care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and support needs.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with external agencies to safeguard children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
