As a QSW in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and development of children with disabilities.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health and education professionals, to ensure holistic support for families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards.
  • Providing advice and support to families, empowering them to navigate services and access resources effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and working with children with disabilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to best practices in social work.
