As an Advanced Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert supervision and support to social workers, fostering their professional development and ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Conducting complex assessments and developing comprehensive care plans for children and young people.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Leading on complex case management and providing consultation to practitioners on challenging cases.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team through training, workshops, and reflective practice sessions.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in children’s social work, with a focus on child protection and looked-after children.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of supporting less experienced practitioners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
