Bury - QSW - Duty & Assessment team
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment team in Bury. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of vulnerable children and families, providing support, and making crucial decisions to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting initial assessments and investigations to determine the level of support required
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals
- Providing crisis intervention and support to children and families in difficult situations
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to review progress and make recommendations
- Ensuring all documentation and reports are accurate and up-to-date
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience working within a Duty & Assessment team in a social care setting
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and stakeholders
- A commitment to continuous professional development and upholding the highest standards of social work practice
In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in child protection, court work, and working with complex cases will be highly desirable.
