Children with Disability ( CWD ) - Sr. Social Worker - Reading
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sr. Social Worker to join our team focused on Children with Disabilities (CWD) in the Reading area. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive support to children and their families, ensuring their emotional, social, and educational needs are met. As a Sr. Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the well-being and development of children with disabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and strengths.
- Developing and implementing individualized service plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing counseling and support to children and families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
- Facilitating communication between families, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of children with disabilities within the community and educational settings.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong knowledge of social work principles, child development, and disability rights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
