We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Chichester, West Sussex, focusing on Children in Care (CIC) and Child Welfare and Child Protection (CWCF). This role offers an attractive pay rate of up to £42 per hour (umbrella). As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and safety of vulnerable children and young people, working closely with families and external agencies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support children in care and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
  • Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
