We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Safeguarding team in Northamptonshire. This is a part-time position, offering 29.5 hours per week across 4 days, with a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). The ideal candidate will be passionate about safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare, while also supporting families in need.
As a Qualified Social Worker in this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
- Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring compliance with legislation and local policies.
- Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive outcomes for children.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
