We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Intake Unit (UASC) in Dover. This exciting role offers a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella) and provides an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of vulnerable young individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being while facilitating their integration into the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial assessments to identify the needs and risks of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.
- Providing support and guidance to children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
- Participating in regular team meetings and case discussions to ensure effective service delivery.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children or within a similar context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
