Social Worker - MASH - Cheshire East
Cheshire East is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the welfare of children and families in our community. Your expertise will be crucial in making informed decisions that prioritize the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of safeguarding referrals and determining the appropriate level of intervention.
- Collaborating with partner agencies, including health, education, and law enforcement, to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding issues.
- Managing a caseload effectively, maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions to improve safeguarding practices.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and current Social Work England registration.
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding, preferably within a MASH or similar setting.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
