Senior Practitioner - Looked After Children Team - Barnet

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including:

  • Managing a caseload of looked after children, ensuring that their needs are met through effective care planning and intervention.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions for children and families.
  • Conducting assessments and preparing reports for court proceedings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Engaging with children and families to build trusting relationships and promote their voices in decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have significant experience working within children's services, particularly with looked after children, and demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
