Senior Social Worker - Child in Care Team - Barnet
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child in Care Team in Barnet. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention for children and young people in care. You will work collaboratively with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for our children. Your expertise will guide the team in implementing effective care plans and safeguarding practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and appropriate services.
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
- Providing expert guidance and support to junior social workers and students, promoting their professional development.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence when necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and working within a Child in Care Team.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child welfare.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
