We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Family Help Team in Herefordshire. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting families to improve their circumstances and ensure the safety and well-being of children. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including social workers, educators, and health professionals, to deliver high-quality services to families in need. This is a temporary position offering £33.30 per hour on an umbrella company basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of family needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans for families.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to junior staff and social workers.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies.
  • Engaging with families and communities to promote positive outcomes.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience in a children and families setting.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
