We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Emergency Duty Team in Tameside. In this role, you will be responsible for providing emergency social work services to children and families outside of regular office hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Responding to emergency situations involving children at risk of harm or in crisis
  • Conducting assessments and making decisions on immediate interventions to safeguard children
  • Collaborating with other agencies and professionals to coordinate support and services for families
  • Participating in duty rota system to provide out-of-hours support as required
  • Completing accurate and timely records of interventions and actions taken

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experience working in a children's social care setting, ideally within an emergency duty team
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
