We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Senior Social Worker to join our 0-25 Disabilities Team in Barnet. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to children and young people with disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and young people with disabilities and developing care plans
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to provide holistic support
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of the children and young people under your care
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated care
  • Providing crisis intervention and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in working with children and young people with disabilities
  • Registered with Social Work England and up-to-date with CPD requirements
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads
  • Additional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
