Children's SW - CIC Team - Suffolk

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team in Suffolk. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families involved with the care system.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
  • Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children in care
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other multi-agency meetings
  • Providing support and guidance to children and families to address their needs and improve their circumstances

The essential qualifications and skills for this role include:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
