Children's SW - SEND Team - City of Wolverhampton Council
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team at the City of Wolverhampton Council. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people with SEND to ensure they receive the appropriate care and support they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs of children and young people with SEND and developing care plans
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to provide holistic support
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of children with SEND
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure coordinated support
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues and contributing to the continuous improvement of services
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience working with children and young people with SEND
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
