Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Social Worker to join our Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) Team. As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to child protection plans.
  • Providing direct support and interventions to children and families.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting, particularly in CIN and CP.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
