We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our CAFCASS team as a Family Court Advisor (FCA) covering the beautiful regions of Sussex and Surrey. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families involved in family court proceedings, ensuring the best interests of children are prioritized and safeguarded. Your expertise will contribute to the assessment and recommendations presented to the court, making a significant impact on the lives of children and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of family dynamics, parental capacities, and children's needs.
  • Preparing detailed reports for court, presenting findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Engaging with families, children, and other professionals to gather vital information and support decision-making.
  • Providing expert advice to the court and participating in hearings as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and family court processes.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
