We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Fostering and Kinship Team in Worcestershire. As a QSW in the Fostering and Kinship Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and supporting foster and kinship carers to ensure they meet the needs of the children placed with them.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to inform care planning and interventions.
- Developing and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering and kinship work, with a strong understanding of the relevant legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
