As a Social Worker in our LAC/CWD team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care and those with disabilities.

  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, including crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Promoting the voice of the child in all aspects of care planning and decision-making.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection, looked after children, and/or working with children with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
