We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Portsmouth. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in foster care.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Undertaking assessments and reviews of foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary standards
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers to enhance their skills and capabilities
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to promote the well-being of children in care
  • Participating in case conferences and court hearings to advocate for the best interests of the children
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's services
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
