As a Children's Social Worker in our Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and their families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
