The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children in Need (CIN) Team. As a Qualified Social Worker within the CIN Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and safeguarding of children.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to help them achieve positive outcomes.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in children’s social work, particularly within a CIN setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on evidence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
