Northamptonshire - QSW - Kinship/SGO/Initial Viabilities Assessments

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Northamptonshire. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Kinship, Special Guardianship Order (SGO), and Initial Viabilities Assessments to support children and families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the suitability of kinship carers or potential special guardians for children in need of support.
  • Developing and implementing care plans based on assessment findings to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Providing support and guidance to families involved in kinship care or SGO processes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate services and resources for families.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting Kinship, SGO, and Initial Viabilities Assessments within a social work setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

Additional requirements for this role may include the ability to travel within the Northamptonshire area, a valid driver's license, and access to a vehicle for work-related purposes.
