The London Borough of Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Out of Hours Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in our Out of Hours Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to urgent safeguarding concerns and assessments.
- Conducting risk assessments and developing appropriate safety plans.
- Collaborating with other agencies, including health and police services, to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection.
- Providing support and guidance to families in crisis and ensuring their immediate needs are met.
- Documenting all interactions and interventions in accordance with statutory and organizational policies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance related to children's services.
