The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of children in care, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure their needs are met.
  • Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and multi-agency discussions to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and best practices.

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, applicants should possess:

  • A strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Proven experience in working with children in care or similar settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
