Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Building trusting relationships with children and young people to empower them and ensure their voices are heard.
  • Providing advice and guidance to foster carers and families to support the children’s development and well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have experience in child protection and looked-after children services, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
