Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and circumstances.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Preparing reports and presenting cases in court when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognised social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
