Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Sefton
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Safeguarding Team in Sefton. This pivotal role involves working collaboratively with children and families to ensure their safety and well-being, while promoting positive outcomes and supporting their development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing tailored intervention plans, and working closely with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
