Achieving for Children is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with children and their families to ensure their needs are met, promoting their welfare and safeguarding their rights. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions that enhance the quality of life for children with disabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legislation and best practice.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
