Children's HOS - Peterborough
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's HOS team in Peterborough. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to develop and implement effective care plans that support the best outcomes for children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
- Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records and documentation.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to collaborative decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload.
