Senior Practitioner - Leaving Care - Peterborough £42.50 p/h umb
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Leaving Care team in Peterborough on a competitive hourly rate of £42.50 (umbrella). This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about supporting young people as they transition from care to independent living. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our young people receive the guidance and support they need to thrive in their new environments.
As a Senior Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of young people, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with young people and relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitating workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing life skills and promoting independence.
- Working closely with external agencies and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for young people.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Diploma in Social Work, BA in Social Work).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working with young people in a leaving care context.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective care plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
