We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager for our Fostering Recruitment and Support Team in Buckinghamshire. This pivotal role will lead a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for foster families and the children in their care. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for driving recruitment strategies, overseeing assessments, and providing ongoing support and training to foster carers. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a positive and supportive environment that promotes the well-being of both foster families and children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of social work professionals, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
  • Implementing and reviewing fostering recruitment strategies to attract and retain high-quality foster carers.
  • Conducting assessments of potential foster families and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Providing ongoing support, supervision, and training for foster carers to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Collaborating with other departments and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to fostering services.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A qualified social worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • Significant experience in fostering services, including management or supervisory roles.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
