As a Social Worker in the Permanence Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine suitability for adoption.
  • Preparing and presenting reports for Adoption Panel meetings.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families throughout the adoption process.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adoption work and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
