Children’s PM - Permanence Team - Greenwich

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Permanence Team Manager to join our team in Greenwich. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need of permanent placements.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Manage a team of social workers and support staff to deliver high-quality permanence services for children and families.
  • Oversee the assessment and planning process for children requiring permanent placements, ensuring their best interests are prioritized.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely and successful permanency outcomes for children in care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable experience in a managerial role within a children’s social care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children’s permanence and adoption.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
