Children's SW - Front Door Team - Devon
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Front Door Team in Devon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the initial contacts and referrals concerning children and families in need of support or protection.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting timely and thorough assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to provide holistic support to families.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated care and interventions.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in children's services.
- Strong knowledge of child protection procedures, legislation, and best practices.
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills to make informed decisions about children's welfare.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage a complex caseload.
