We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Luton. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention services to children and families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments and creating care plans for children in care
  • Conducting home visits and liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Attending court hearings and providing evidence-based reports
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure the well-being of children
  • Offering emotional support and guidance to children and families

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Looked After Children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging situations

Additional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as home visits are an integral part of the role.
